Mendocino Plein Air Painting Workshop with Victoria Brooks
Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20, 2012 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Victoria Brooks will be teaching this impressionist oil painting workshop on location and in the studio. She will be emphasizing working quickly to simplify the landscape and capture the ambiance of the area. your completed paintings will have a fresh, spontaneous feel. Victoria will address choice of subject, technique, composition, color and values. She will give several quick demos as well as frequent constructive class critiques. This class is for all level of painters.
Victoria Brooks has been painting and teaching full time for the past 25 years after a successful career as an art director and graphic designer in television. She has won numerous "Best of Show" awards for her studio and plein air works. She teaches plein air painting workshops in California, Italy, France and Greece. The Mendocino Art Center is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Mendocino on the coast 150 miles north of San Francisco overlooking the rugged expanse of the Pacific ocean.
